Age Group Swim Coaches

The Westwood Recreation Department welcomes applications from qualified candidates for the part-time position of Age Group Swim Coach during the Winter Session (November through early March).  Swim Coaches will supervise, instruct, and coach group participants on competitive swimming skills and stroke techniques, while providing positive reinforcement. 

The Swim Coach will plan and administer daily practices and complete meet line up for specific age group.  Team practices will be held Monday through Thursday between 5:00 and 8:00 pm and alternating Fridays 6:00 and 8:00 pm.  The practice times vary based on age group.  Regular season competitive swim meets, and end-of-season championship meet, are held on weekends (times vary).

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have prior swim coach experience.    American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required; ARC Water Safety Instructor Certification preferred. 

Salary range:  $18.50 - $19.50 per hour.
