Summer Aquatics Director

The purpose of this position is administer, implement, and supervise seasonal aquatics programs and staff for the Town of Littleton. The Aquatics Director must have the ability to work harmoniously with the program staff, participants, and the general public. In addition, he/she should be able to firmly enforce all facility regulations. Works under the direction Assistant Director and Aquatics Program Coordinator. Assumes high responsibility for achieving goals for achieving beach waterfront and aquatics program objectives. Works with considerable latitude for independent judgment and action. They are responsible for direction of the lifeguards, swim instructors, sailing staff, and snack shack attendants on shift at the beach. Must be at least 21 years of age, and have at least 2 years supervisory experience within the Aquatics field. Must hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification and current First Aid/CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification. Special requirements: Current American Red Cross First (Aquatics Director) Aid/CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certifications. American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification required. American Red Cross Head Guard Certification preferred, but not required. American Red Cross Lifeguard training Instructor Certification preferred, but not required.
