The Town of Walpole is seeking applicants for a full time, 35 hours/week position of Program Coordinator for the Recreation Department. This position would be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing a variety of recreational programs, with a strong emphasis on summer camps. This position requires a creative and organized individual with a background in recreation program development and camp management.
Desirable Qualifications & Skills:
Associates Degree in a relevant field; Bachelor's degree preferred; 3-5 years of experience in recreation program planning and implementation with a strong knowledge of summer camps, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Qualifications:
American Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR certificates required. Valid state driver's license preferred.
Knowledge, Abilities & Skills:
Previous experience as a camp director or in a similar leadership role is highly desirable. Proficient in registration and management software, preferably CivicRec or MyRec. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Flexible schedule to accommodate weekend events and activities.
Salary:
Full-time; Benefit eligible; Non-union position. $25.09/hour
