Stiles Pond Beach Director

The Boxford Athletic Association has an opening for the position of Stiles Pond Beach Director.
This position involves comprehensive management of Stiles Pond Beach, ensuring the safety and
satisfaction of both members and staff. Key responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of beach
safety, creating and adhering to an annual budget, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff,
maintaining accurate records of lifeguard certifications and work permits, coordinating with town
departments to secure necessary permits and inspections, monitoring beach conditions and water
quality, overseeing the training and certification of staff, managing inventory and ensuring the
cleanliness of concessions and facilities, and promoting the beach through various communication
channels.

This is a seasonal position running mid-June through late August, requiring 40 hours per week
with additional preparation hours. It is non-benefit eligible. Candidates must be at least 21 years
old and possess a high school diploma; an Associate or Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Applicants
should have a minimum of 3 years of related work experience, including 1 year in a supervisory
role. Essential certifications include a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate
or equivalent, CPR/AED and First Aid certification. A valid state driver’s license and access to a
private vehicle are required. ServSafe training must be completed prior to the start of the season.
