The Town of Danvers welcomes applications for the full-time, benefitted position of Therapeutic Recreation Specialist for the Danvers Recreation department. This position provides direct service programming, performs intake assessments and applies modifications and adaptations of community recreation programs. 

The Town will consider any combination of relevant work experience, volunteerism, education, and transferable skills as qualifying unless an item in the qualification section of the job description is labeled required.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a Therapeutic Recreation or related field; one to three years of increasingly responsible related experience in Inclusion, Adaptive and Community industry. Completed and current Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Certification required. Valid Driver's License required. 

This position works 35 hours per week. Grade 10, Non-Union pay-scale, starting at $65,854.33 with the ability to move through scale to the max step at $81,659.40. Hiring rate DOQ. This position has a set schedule of Monday - Wednesday 8AM-4PM, Thursday 8AM - 7PM, and Friday 8AM-12PM. Excellent benefits including educational and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications
