The Town of Bedford seeks qualified candidates for the position Recreation Program Leader for the Bedford Recreation Department. Working under the general direction and supervision of the Assistant Recreation Director, job duties include, but are not limited to: the facilitation, planning, and management of youth-related programs offered by the Recreation Department. Programs include, but are not limited to, youth sports leagues ranging from soccer and basketball, special events, scheduling for all municipal playing fields, and approximately 150 enrichment and sports programs held throughout the year.
Position requirements include Bachelors’ degree in recreation management, sports management, physical education, or related field, and 1 to 3 years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and experience.
The salary for this position is $25-30 per hour. It is a benefits-eligible position of 30 hours per week, with a standard schedule of Monday 11:30 AM – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM, though work outside of those hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required at times.
