The town of Medfield is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Director of
Parks and Recreation. This position will assist the Director of Parks and Recreation in managing
and enhancing recreational programs and facilities, including the towns swim pond, parks, and
community events. Responsibilities will include planning, implementing, and overseeing various
projects and programs. Key duties encompass recruiting and supervising staff, managing
budgets, developing programs, and coordinating recreational activities and special events.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Sports
Management, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in parks and recreation
management or a similar area is required, along with previous experience in aquatics.
Salary range: $78,000 to $88,000 DOQ
