RECREATION SUPERVISOR

The Town of Dover seeks qualified applicants for the position of Recreation Supervisor within the Park and Recreation Department. Under the direction of the Park and Recreation Director, this position serves as the program liaison and on-site administrator for recreation programs, activities and special events. The incumbent provides direct assistance to the public including but not limited to the administering and processing of room rentals, calendar management and program registration; assists in scheduling and implementing recreation programs, activities and special events.

The Recreation Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and supervising volunteers involved in programs, activities and special events; preparing the department’s monthly P&R newsletter and quarterly brochure including copy writing and design and assist in creating media content using various digital tools and platforms. A successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively and have familiarity with recreation programs.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) benefitted position with nights and weekends required based on program needs. The initial hiring pay range effective July 1, 2023 is from $30.92-$ 34.49 hourly DOQ. Future annual increases will be based on annual market adjustments and successful performance.
